Registration & Hotels Frequently Asked Questions

1. When does registration close?
Online registration remains open through the end of the Cancer Survivorship Symposium: Advancing Care and Research on January 28, 2017. 

2. How much are the registration fees?
Please refer to the Registration & Hotel Rates page for a list of the different registration categories and fees. Registration fees vary based on the date the registration is finalized and the professional role of the participant.

3. I’m registered as an attendee but did not receive my materials in the mail. What should I do?
You can pick up your materials onsite at the Symposium Registration Desk in the Grand Ballroom Foyer, Lobby Level at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. 

4. Do you have a one-day pass available?
We do not offer one-day passes. Registration access is for the full meeting.

5. What is included in my registration?
Your registration includes

  • Entrance into the Symposium General Sessions, exhibits, and Poster Sessions
  • Access to Virtual Meeting and the Attendee Resource Center, which includes electronic copies of all meeting materials
  • Option to purchase, at a discounted price, one copy of the Proceedings USB eTote
  • Two continental breakfasts, two boxed lunches, and one wine and cheese poster reception
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Credits for physicians 

6. Can I bring a guest?
Yes, spouse badges can be purchased for $200. Spouse badges grant access to Posters, Exhibits, and the Food Room. 

7. I can’t attend the meeting, but would still like to view the sessions. What are my options?
You can purchase the Cancer Survivorship Symposium: Advancing Care and Research Virtual Meeting through the ASCO University Bookstore. Presentations will be available to view within 24 hours after a session’s completion.  

8. When and where can I access the Virtual Meeting?
You can access the Virtual Meeting through the Attendee Resource Center. Virtual Meeting allows attendees to view all captured presentations in three different ways:

  • Desktop
  • Audio files
  • Mobile phone or tablet

9. How do I receive a visa letter of invitation to attend this meeting?
You must register online and pay in full for the Cancer Survivorship Symposium: Advancing Care and Research before you can receive a visa letter. Attendees may request a visa letter using the link in the registration confirmation email or by logging in to the registration website to review their registration. Visa letters are not available to attendees who are not paid in full or have canceled their registration.

10. If I am unable to receive a visa to leave my country or enter the United States, can I get a refund for my registration?
Yes, ASCO will refund your registration in full if you are unable to acquire a visa or enter the United States.

11. How do I change or cancel my registration?
Please refer to the Changes or Cancellations page for more information.

12. I would like someone to take my place at the meeting; can I change the registration to someone else’s name?
Registration substitutions must be made in writing and must be submitted by the person who paid for the registration or by the original attendee. Requests may be sent to SPARGO.

13. My company is exhibiting at the meeting. How do I register my staff to work the exhibit?
You can find information online regarding Exhibitor Registration. Exhibitor Registration will open in early November. 

14. Can I receive a refund for my canceled registration?
For cancellations received before the Monday, January 23 cancellation deadline, a refund will be processed, minus the cancellation fee of $75. Note: Refunds will be processed after the meeting. No refunds will be processed for cancellations received after the Monday, January 23, 2022 at 11:59 PM (EST) cancellation deadline.

15. I need a registration receipt for my institution. How do I get one?
You can request a registration receipt by emailing SPARGO.

16. How do I register as a member of the media?
Information on registering media can be found in the Media Resource Center. For further questions, please contact Media Registration

17. Is there a print registration form?
Yes, you can request a paper registration form by emailing SPARGO. There is a $25 paper processing fee. To avoid this fee, please register online.

18. I'm a federal employee. Who can I contact with questions about registration?
