CE, MOC & Certificates

Symposium attendees are now able to earn Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

MOC From the ABIM

For physician attendees whose certification is through the ABIM, MOC points are available for meeting attendance and engagement. Successful completion of this continuing medical education (CME) activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn 14. 5 MOC points in the ABIM's MOC program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

To receive ABIM MOC, participants must submit their Symposium Feedback Form, available on the iPlanner, and claim their CME credits for the Symposium by the deadline. Once both of these steps are completed, ASCO will transmit all information to ABIM on the participant’s behalf.

ABIM MOC points will only be awarded if the Symposium Feedback Form is completed with detailed responses that demonstrate knowledge gained at the Symposium and how that knowledge may apply to practice.
