Childcare Options in Orlando

As you plan your trip to the Symposium, we know that the logistics of childcare are important, whether that includes making arrangements for help at home while away, or bringing the family with you on your trip.  Below are some options to consider as you make your plans. In addition, we also suggest calling your hotel after you’ve made your reservation to see if they have any additional suggestions.

Symposium Age Policy

The Symposium has an age policy that requires that only those 18 and older enter session rooms or the Posters, Exhibits, and Food Service Room due to the sensitivity of presentations and for the courtesy of other attendees. Please keep these age requirements in mind when planning your trip.

Super Sitters

  • Sitters have a variety of backgrounds which include mothers, teachers, daycare providers, college students, nurses and retired grandmothers. Some of their sitters also work with children with special needs.
  • It is best to book at least 24 hours in advance to match your children with the best babysitter, but they will make every effort to book your sit with less notice and can usually accommodate you on the same day. Fees start at $16 an hour for one child with a $12 transportation fee and goes up.  

Kid’s Nite Out

  • This invaluable service gives you the flexibility to create your own hours on vacation. Professional caregivers provide one-on-one childcare in the comfort of your hotel or resort room. 
  • It is best to book at least 24 hours in advance to match your children with the best babysitter, but they will make every effort to book your sit with less notice and can usually accommodate you on the same day. Fees start at $18 an hour for one child with a four-hour minimum.
